It’s a place where chickens can freely cross the road without being questioned. One of the amusing quotes found in the eye catching interior of Chopstop, a fastfood restaurant serving chops, nachos and unlimited margaritas. I must admit, the street corner theme complete with pedestrian walks and stoplights got me prodding to chop-around their offerings.
Chopstop Chops
I’ve been to ChopStop several times. My first try was at their Valero branch where I had the Barbecue Chops. It was a memorable first meal from them, especially the generous serving size and savory tender meat. For my next visit, I then tried their Jack Daniels Chops, curious how a whiskey-infused pork chop would taste like. It was quite interesting. The signature tenderness was there with a pleasant build-up of heat with a spike of whiskey kicking-in. On the side, there was a choice of nachos or veggies. I chose the former and was quite satisfied with the crispiness of the nachos served with tasty salsa.
Beyond the Chops
On another visit, I tried their 125gm Quarter Pounder. For its price, I thought it was of good value especially since it was filled with savory patty along with soft and really sweet bacon strips. On the side are thick-cut sour cream fries.
Dessert and Margaritas
ChopStop also offers desserts and margaritas. Though I wasn’t able to try their unlimited Margaritas, I did have a mug of Red Velvet. Best eaten while warm.
The street-themed interiors is a amusingly inviting while their various flavors of chicken and pork chops deliver in hefty servings. ChopStop is a great alternative to commercial fast-food offerings. And if you love chops, they got a variety of flavors for you.
Chopstop
They have branches in Makati, Mandaluyong, Paranaque, Muntinlupa, Quezon City, Pampanga, Calabarzon and Cebu. For a full list of branches visit here.
The place looks nice, I hope it goes the same with their food. Pork chops are my weakness, so I badly need to try this place.
