Street side eats add a welcome change as food trucks roll in at Capitol Commons in Pasig. Just within the neighborhood, I checked out this rising commercial area that’s set to redefine the lifestyle of Pasig residents. I’m surprised to see a well-manicured garden, stylistic lamp postss, oh so inviting benches, wide spaces and nice breeze amidst constructions. The ambiance is already there, so what’s missing? How about some great eats? So here comes the Food Truck Parks‘ offerings delivering an all new dining experience at Capitol Commons.
Variety of Food Choices
Dusk just settled in, the evening was cool. I enjoyed the openness of Capitol Commons as well as the park vibe where people are free to jog in the evening or pedal with their bikes. Musicians settled in with some chillout tunes. I really like the place and the food just adds a huge flavor for the evening. I think there were at least 10 food trucks there and I was able to try a few offerings from them.
Hungry Rover caught my attention first since they are the only one with a dining area inside the truck. It may be small but it sure was cool. I enjoyed their Angus Mexican Tapa as starters for my food binge. Amazing Cones got some finger-sized Pizza-in-a-cone goodies. Try the “Everything but the Sink” (Php60) special for that really meaty flavor. Shawarma Bro’s Beef Shawarma (Php 100) is really filling. My favorite though was the mouthwatering flavor of the Great Burger offerings, worthy of the truck name. The beef patty has that slight crisp from the way it was fried. But I have to say the really savory rich beef flavor was on its Original G.R.Eat Burger. It really is a great burger and the french fries that comes with it is worth the mention. I always have room for dessert so to cap it off I visited the Mio Gelati booth. You’ve got to try the “Ferrero” and my all time fave “Dark Chocolate”.
