October is around the corner and its time to raise your mugs and enjoy an overflowing dose of beer-goodness. It’s Octoberfest and Vikings Luxury Buffet is there to celebrate with you with a meaty-licious menu to chug in more beer from the tap. Check whats in store for you this Vikings Luxury Buffet Oktoberfest.
Start off with a Pulutan Prito Trio of munchers chicharon and kropek, chilli dynamite fingers and bomber wings. I like their take of the dynamite with cheese, sausage and beer butter wasabi stuffed in the chilli instead of wrapped. I also like the spices on the bomber wings especially with the garlic dip on the side.
The Inihaw Platter is a plateful of Filipino grilled favorites like liempo, grilled squid and chicken.
The Kilawin 3-ways is Viking’s interesting take on kilawin, it has a smoky-flavored tuna, grill pork and squid. Though I still prefer the raw ingredient with vinegar.
Fancy balut? Viking’s Balut Salpicao lends its garlicky and savory sauce to the Pinoy’s infamous street eat.
There’s no mistake that a Sisig should be on the table when there’s beer and boy Vikings had a wonderful version of Sisig. Just the right crunch and spices.
Then there’s the award-winning recipe from the recent Philippine Culinary Cup 2015, the Binusog na Lechon, which is a stuffed suckling pig with rice. It has the tasty and crunchy pork skin that I like in a lechon, tender and moist pork and rich pork flavor from the rice.
Of course there’s the beer! And watch out for the Beer Train when in Vikings Luxury Buffet this October. Aside from the regular beer, Vikings can craft some beer mixes for you. I tried three variants – there’s the Sake infused for that strong and dry for the hard beer drinkers, the chilli infused beer, a bit fancy with its peppery-spice and salt flavor and the lemon infused beer for the light drinkers.
