Living up to the town’s reputation, Art Capital Cafe, is a cozy little cafe right beside a Caltex station in Angono. It serves up more than the usual brews but also showcases inspiring art pieces from up-and-coming artists. Art Capital Cafe was the last stop in our tour of Angono sites and eats. May we have saved the best for last?
Frappe Frenzy
Angono loves their frappes. They have lots of them here and Art Capital Cafe doesn’t have a shortage of coffee and non-coffee-based frappe. Among the ones served, the Butter Beer, Mocha Mint, and Salted Caramel Mocha gave a lasting sweet sensation to the coffee-based frappes. The Milo Nitro and Blue Dragon were my favorites on the non-coffee-based Frappes. All Frappes are priced only at Php 100.
Filling Meals
Art Capital Cafe also has other tasteful offerings on its menu. Angono wouldn’t be complete without the Buffalo Wings (Php125) and they have two flavors, parmesan and spice. I like that their versions are not saucy and don’t mess up with hands. The parmesan was a personal favorite, cheesy, a tad salty, and a little crunch.
The Cheeseburger Shots (Php 100) with potato wedges on the side is cute but big on flavor. Add another Php 10 for the bacon. The Potato Wedges are also good you can order ala cart for Php 110.
There were other offerings good for group sharing. The Clubhouse sandwich (Php 115) and multi-colored Nachos (Php 95) overwhelmed by a mound of grated cheese are of amazing value and don’t scrimp on the ingredients and flavors.
The Art Capital Cafe Brew
I enjoyed most of Art Capital Cafe's offerings. The ambiance is very intimate and artistic, and the price and food is highly satisfactory. We ended with a cup of Kape Amerikano (Php 70) which is simply aromatic with a pleasant roundness of flavor that lingers. You just have to visit it when in Angono. Who knows, it might stir up your creative vibe.
