Coffee Boost at Fluff Koppi Cafe in Mabitac Laguna

Post a Comment February 17, 2022

Riding up to the mountains of Mabitac, Laguna is no walk in the park. Elevation rises up to at least 370 meters above sea level. And unless you’re riding a motorized vehicle along this winding Manila East road, the climb here can easily take your breath away. Not just because of the scenery, but literally. It takes effort and can take much from you. I’m glad halfway through this mountain road, the rustic white walls of Fluff Koppi Cafe drew my attention. Its Scandinavian-inspired meets Filipino bahay kubo’s cogon roofing seemed to stick out from all the surrounding greens. It’s interesting enough for a stop and much-needed nourishment.

The interior is quite simple yet appealing. Warm earth tones with the white walls felt cozy. Very minimalist which I like. The large windows made the rectangular room breathe and illuminated well. There were some interesting items on the menu but some weren’t available at the time of my visit. But it’s still pretty amazing they were open on January 2, 2022.

Their menu is simple and straightforward. There were some unique items like the Ice Ube Macchiato and the Fluff Koppi with Gold Leaf that sounds interesting. The Krispy Noodle Spaghetti and El Tapa were calling out too.

I wanted to try the Fluff Koppi but it wasn’t available so I just had the usual Iced Cappuccino. For snack, I ordered the Chocolate Dream Waffle. I liked the cappuccino, it tasted just right. The waffle was a bit heavy for me. I wasn’t even able to finish. I was full already.

The presentation and branding of Fluff Koppi Cafe isn’t a fluff. It was quite cool in a simple way. I liked the slogan “inhale the caffeine, exhale the negativity” written on the cup. The whole ambiance is relaxing. I enjoyed watching vehicles and bikes pass by the road while having my food. Other food offerings are promising.

I still want to try the other items on the menu if ever I find myself back here. But for my stop, the caffeine boost was enough to power me to ride up to Pasig. If you’re in the area do try them.
