Bash Café : Unabashedly Good Coffee in Sibuyan Island

Post a Comment February 13, 2020

It's always a delightful surprise to find a nice little cafe on some remote island that's quite good too. Cajidiocan in Sibuyan Island, Romblon seems to be shaping up as the island's food destination to complement the other municipalities' natural wonders. Bash Café in Cajidiocan, poblacion is the place to find quality coffee and pastries. It's a cozy place to hang out too.

The evening brought up a nice ambiance with warm light and nice interiors. It's not too fancy but enough for me to stay for at least an hour to chitchat with friends or simply grab a read while relishing some good coffee.

I'm glad to see jars of beans coming from Kalinga, Benguet, Sagada, and Italy. Prices even hit the right spot for the place. Americano for P30, Latte and Cappucino for P40, Caramel Macchiatto and French Vanilla for P50. Whipping them all up with just the little Breville espresso machine or pour over. I got a double serving of Americano using Sagada beans and boy it was good. Been craving for a good coffee while on the island. All I'm getting were 3-in-1 coffee. This was just perfect.

We're fortunate to catch a whole blueberry cheesecake to share. Got a slice and again happy about its quality. Just the right consistency and softness and it wasn't that sweet at all. Makes me curious how the other pastries would taste if the cheesecake was as good as this.

So if one ever finds oneself in Sibuyan Island, Romblon and yearning for quality coffee and pasty, head over to Bash Café in Cajidiocan. Hope that if ever I go back, maybe months or years, I will still find this little cafe there.
